Ways I can support you

As a SENDIASS Officer I primarily work with parents and carers, but occasionally support children and young people. I will:

  • support you with any concerns or worries about your child
  • provide advice and information on all aspects of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including health and social care
  • assist you through a specific SEND related process, such as EHC plans, medication, tribunals, or exclusion
  • help you make informed decisions
  • resolve disagreements related to your child’s special educational needs
  • attend meetings, either virtually or in person

Support is provided over the telephone or via email.

I also run training sessions for parents on education, health and care (EHC) plans, annual reviews, preparing for adulthood and SEN support in schools.
