Ways I can support you
As a SENDIASS Officer I primarily work with parents and carers, but occasionally support children and young people. I will:
- support you with any concerns or worries about your child
- provide advice and information on all aspects of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including health and social care
- assist you through a specific SEND related process, such as EHC plans, medication, tribunals, or exclusion
- help you make informed decisions
- resolve disagreements related to your child’s special educational needs
- attend meetings, either virtually or in person
Support is provided over the telephone or via email.
I also run training sessions for parents on education, health and care (EHC) plans, annual reviews, preparing for adulthood and SEN support in schools.
